Question Heater/air conditioner

When on shore power, the air conditioner comes on when the heater is fired up.
Is it the thermostat? any ideas?

Default Check fan setting

I had the same issue when I first started using the heater and solved the problem by switching the fan setting to “auto”. On my thermostat display it now shows the furnace icon, temp setting, and auto. With these settings the AC fan doesn’t come on while using the heater.

Thank you.

So simple. I'm embarrassed. Nothing in the owners manuals (scarce as they are) mentions this.

Ha! Don’t be embarrassed. It took me a second trip to figure it out. Funny thing is that it was just this past week, so fresh on my mind. My AC is loud, so it was a major relief when I stumbled onto the solution. Not intuitive at all compared to a home thermostat.
