Default Broken Porch Light

I have a 2008 GS Mini Vista Cruiser MH with a broken porch light, where a portion of the front with spotlight, fell off. (see photo 1)

It is a Jokon lamp with spotlight (see photo 2)

I tried to remove the light by taking out 2 screws on the front, but it won't come off and I'm not sure if I should forcibly pry or break it off.

Another option is to buy another Jokon lamp and replace the cover with spotlight which fell off.

Appreciate any advice from the communtiy.

Thanks

Try a little heat from a heat gun to soften the mastic sealant used to make the fixture installation waterproof. Lift a corner slowly to allow the goop to stretch and release. Do not use enough heat to damage your paint/clear-coat or the fixture itself...

That discolored lens that is crescent shaped may come off separately. The two bulbs in there get changed somehow. Try the little release teeth shown circled in red...maybe the white plastic fixture base had other fasteners under the yellowed lens.

I have the same rig and had to replace the same fixture several years ago. They don’t make the specific fixture anymore…at least I couldn’t find it. I ordered this one from Amazon. Same shape but slightly smaller than the original. Not really noticeable. It is LED so is very bright. Fewer LEDs may be preferable so they don’t bother neighbors when camping.

Most penetration devices (wires/screws) are sealed w/ BUTYL PUTTY or silicone, or both, or alternate caulks. If all screws removed, gently pry SLOWLY, and/or gently cut silicone or other caulking as you gently pry; a 1"-2" flexible putty knife might be useful to spread the force, preventing fiberglass damage? Good Luck
