Water heater not working on AC mode. I show power at breaker and no power at water heater hookup. Is there a relay between the breaker and water heater. It is a new Suburban water heater.

Hello
There should be a switch in a cabinet somewhere that will turn on the electric element side of the water heater. Most of the time there will be a red indicator light to show it is in use if the switch is on and you have sufficient 110v to the coach via Gen or shore power..
Hope this helps a little. Good luck

When you say "no power at water heater hookup" do you mean the wire (Romex) going into the back of the water heater is dead? There are several things to check on/inside the water heater, but if the feed is dead, possibilities narrow. Most times the Romex going from the breaker to the heater is a straight shot (you might be able to physically trace it). Sometimes there is an outlet on the same circuit (You can find this by turning breaker on/off hopefully). Punch-downs inside RV style outlets come loose, so you could have good power in to this outlet, no power out, going to water heater. Just a speculation, without knowing more about your situation.

Good advice given thus far. I didn't see what brand and model you have, but my answer would be the same. Just google your problem with your brand and model and YouTube will give you all you need to know. I have saved myself tons of money using these videos. Good luck….

Hi...hope I am doing this right. We have a scenic cruiser which is similar to yours I think..build wise. On the right side (passenger side) there are cabinets above table. The wall in front of the fridge, there are cabinets above. On ours there is a switch, mounted UNDER those cabinets. It turns the water heater on, with 110 volt, small red light shows on it. I have a feeling that could be where yours is.............but just guessing. Hope this helps..
