Default LED Tail Light Replacement

Hello,

I have a 2017 Vintage Cruiser 19ERD. One of my oval LED tail light/break light units is slowly going out. These are the ones with 12 LEDs. As a tail light I have 6 LEDs working and as a brake light I have 11.

Does anyone know if there is a source for these other than from Gulf Stream?

Thanks in advance.

I've never uploaded a file to this site, so if it works, there should be two images attached - one with the light in normal tail light mode and one in break light mode.

They should have a number on the outside of the lens. You can goggle that number and should be able to find a replacement. It could also be on the back side of the light. they are a sealed unit if it is like one on my older Gulfstream.

A brief search found these. It's raining right now or I would go out and compare this with mine.

Thank you... They do look very close. I will go do some measuring.

You may have to remove them from the inside to see any meaningful numbers relating to a manufacturer part number. The only thing I can read on the outside lens of mine is the SAE DOT standard number. ISTA 13 Which stands for turnsignal, stop, taillight and that it was approved in 2013.

Edit: Closer inspection of the pictures on Amazon looks like the chrome trim pops off exposing external screws.

Here's another and one review mentions a RV.

In case this is helpful to someone in the future, I'm replying to my own post to report back on what I've found regarding rear lighting on the Vintage Cruiser (mine is a 2017 model).

I did some research and found that Stellar Lighting in Elkhart, IN supplies the 12 LED lamp OEM (https://www.stellar-lighting.com/1202632) tail light, as well as the 40 LED tail/brake/turn light unit (https://www.stellar-lighting.com/1254372) currently being sold on Amazon. According to the specs on Stellar's webpage the dimensions are identical. My impression is that the 40 LED unit is replacing the old 12 LED unit. BTW.. the 7-diget number in the URL is also the part number.

FYI... Steller also makes the center LED clearance light strip at the top rear of the Vintage Cruiser (https://www.stellar-lighting.com/2225283-R).

SPECIFIC TO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION
It's interesting that you can buy these 40 LED units one at a time ($20.04) for less than buying two ($55.99) from the other seller at Amazon - and they both have free shipping.

CONCLUSION
I think that I'll go the easy route and buy a new pair the 40 LED lights since, although branded differently, they seem to be made by the same company, and I am sure that if I went with a replacement, the one on the other side would probably fail in a year or two.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED WITH THE RESEARCH ON THIS!
