Default Cruise Control not working

After a long drive my short leg is tired! Lol. If only the cruise control works then it would be a great relief. Has any one here with ford e450 able to fix the cruise control?
I don't even see a green light when I push the ON button. My steering wheel only has cruise control buttons, no audio/stereo controls. 2003 Conquest.

There is NO GREEN dash light installed on my 1999 e450SD chassis, (none shown in the Ford Manual) but It works; Problem I had is buttons are BACKWARDS from my 2005 T&C, so I kept turning OFF when I was trying to engage or resume. Did it two dozen times before I finally realized, then had to retrain the brain.

There are also SOME MODELS w/ RECALL, FIRE HAZARD, bad, leaky brake switch, not properly fused, 1st recall harness wrong, 2nd recall to replace 1st recall... just don't recall details of WHICH vehicles. So CHECK YOUR VIN thru a FORD dealer? GOOD LUCK.

I will check with Ford about the recall.

Weird that it doesn't have the cruise control green light. Even peculiar that the on/off buttons were interchanged. Ugh. Thanks for the info. I will try it out and re-train my brain, too. Hahaha!

Hey THenne1713 thanx for the advice! Ford dealer completed the recall and now my cruise control works! Mine actually has the circle green light for the cc.

Great to hear, THX for feedback;

now WHERE on dash is the GREEN LIGHT?

I may have to pull my 1999 dash to check BULB?
Strange NOT in Ford Owner Manual for mine, may look for 2003 OM?

Nope, slight differences, 99-2000 do NOT have the CC dash bulb

Left hand side of dashboard above airbag sign and below low fuel indicator, see attached pic. Sorry, I'm unable to take pictures to show the actual green cc light. I am currently camping. When I head home, I'll take some pics for you. I need to be of certain speed in order to activate the cc.

Does it FLASH to TEST bulb during START? (Noting not ON in Pic) Also NOT where I expected from later models. a 2018 Manual shows the Icon to be a mini-speedometer, but does not show where on dash. 2018 says "Speed Control See Cruise Control", but 2000-2004 says "Cruise Control see Speed Control"

No , it does not flash like the other during start. You won't even know it exist until you use it after you reach a certain speed. The recall on my model says speed control. When dealer fixed it with just a connector with fuse, my cc was fixed.
