Default Towing with Super C

Hi folks, any advice/suggestions when towing a long trailer (32') with the Supernova?

I finally connected mine to our race trailer to see if I could get it out of the driveway, I could. But in this case I had to drive over the grass to get back in, there is a telephone pole too close on the one side of the driveway. My neighbors had plenty of free entertainment

I just took it out to the street and back into the driveway, didn't have the correct height ball mount, so once I get that, I'll take it around the block.

However, turning is quite the adventure and sharp turns are out of the question. My trailer does not have the extended tongue, which would help prevent the trailer from contacting the MH.

I use the trucking nav app, Hammer for navigation, it will avoid routing sharp turns, but am having some doubts here in general. There are a few race tracks we visited in the past where I know the MH/trailer combo is not going to be able to get in to.

Thanks!

I've been towing a 30 foot cargo pro with a long tongue with our 2008 37 ft Supernova since 2020 Biggest problem is the truck pull offs on the interstate are not long enough. Just work on your turning in a big lot with cones some time. I don't even try to back into my driveway, just drop it on the street and use my truck to put it away. I need more power so that's what will push me to another RV My trailer weighs about 9000 loaded so I'm pushing the envelope. Don't worry, it's easy Cheers

I tow a 31' trailer behind our 37' supernova quite often. You’ll get used to it, just takes practice!

I will say the extra 5' of our supernova does make it feel way bigger when towing compared to our old 32' super c. I felt like I could daily drive that setup, and the 37 takes a little more thought and planning especially in parking lots.

I do have the same issue as Gemini John, need more power! It’s probably not as bad as I think it is, I’ve just always had fairly rowdy tow vehicles and this one is at the other end of the spectrum.
