Default What is the ride height on the 2004 Yellowstone

Hello and thanks for the welcome. New to RVs so please be patient with me. I got the 04 yellowstone with just 30k miles on it. The guy that had it before did 1 week long trip a year with it then it would sit. Well, I take this everywhere but there is a bad sway issue. The bars and bushings are fine but the rear springs are fatigued I got air lift air bags that I’m going to install but it says have the Rv sitting at its normal operating ride height. I have no idea of what it is from axle center or even top of wheel. I do know that when I jack both sides up, it looks nice with about 2.5” of lift. Can anyone tell me what the actual height is supposed to be?

Since, most likely no one is going to have stock ride hight because of what cargo they put in them.
If it’s dragging the ground, in places while loaded. Take static measurements fully loaded. With the tongue of the trailer level when attached to your vehicle.
If you want 2 to 2.5” of extra ride hight. Take your springs to a spring shop and either have them re-arced or have an extra leaf added. Yes by all means explain to the spring shop what’s happening. Then once you have established your new ride hight you can add air bags. Remembering that Air bags put more stress on your axle, but again ask your spring guy, he’ll be smarter than me…
Remember to raise your tow vehicles hitch to the new level hight . You want the tongue as level as you can get it.
The axles and sway bars will be happy!

If it has no shocks, add them? If too little tongue weight/ too much behind rear axle, shift some to forward of axle?

But since you mention mileage, assume you have Class A or Class C vs 5th wheel/ bumper pull? Steering damper and Tires can make HUGE difference, but check for slack in steering?
