2005 5290BT trailer wiring
Bought this 2005 5290BT rig used last year, 4-wire trailer connector was missing, looks like it drug on the ground and ground away/pulled off. Spliced new connector in place, no love, no signal at all to 4-pin test plug or known good towing lights. I am hoping it is something simple like a fuse, maybe the wires shorted when the connector ground off. I have no chassis owners manual, and every Ford E450 engine compartment fuse box diagram I can find online shows fuses for trailer lights/signals, but is wrong compared to my engine compartment fuse box.
Anyone have a fuse box diagram or other info to share? I also tried just tapping into the tail light wiring at the rear of the rig. I can get the test plug to work, but not the known good towing lights (one light's brake light function works, nothing else). I suspect LED/voltage/resistance issues. Trying to figure that out at the same time. Any and all help greatly appreciated, we are moving in a few weeks and I have to tow my Jeep Cherokee, got to get these towing lights working. Thanks.

Under hood, Fuses 5 & 6 (small, Red, 10a) are Turn Signals REAR and TRAILER. Luck

The issue is resolved. I followed the four wire circuit forward to the rear axle, where it plugs into the original chassis harness. There I found a white ground wire with a ring terminal on the end, just hanging there. I grounded that to the chassis, and the 4-wire trailer circuit now works.
