Default 2007 Tourmaster T40A Solar Installed

Hi Everyone,

FYI post in case you are thinking about upgrading. I just upgraded my coach to 1600W of solar and it rocks. Here's what I did:

8 - 200W US made Hightec solar panels up top for 1600W on tilt mounts
1 - Victron Multiplus 24/3000/70-50 Inverter Charger
1 - Victron 50A SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 Charge Controller w/Bluetooth
1 - Victron Energy BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor w/ Bluetooth
1 - Victron Energy Color Control GX Monitor with wifi
2 - Victron Energy Orion 24/12-70 High Power DC-DC Converter
8 - Lion Energy Safari UT 90ah LiFePO4 batteries (pre-105ah that they just released)

I relocated and consolidated all batteries to the first enclosed bay of the driver's side of the coach for battery protection and to be able to share power across 110 and 12 volt system. I rigged them in series/parallel for 24v for system efficiency and then used the Orions to supply power to the Inverter and 12v house systems (thus 2).

The remote displays are located on the wall just outside the back bedroom for ease of access. We were going to mount it mid-coach just aft of the washer and dryer cabinet (vent void access and a good wall) but it became easier to run it a bit further back.

With all systems on but no lighting, I was burning 19% battery on the residential fridge but the batteries would recharge no issues - and that's in November, no tilt on the panels, and partly cloudy days here in AZ. Hopefully, this will keep generator use to a minimum when we go full time here in a few weeks.

Let me know if you have any questions. It's definitely doable. I'll see if I can park my images somewhere and upload a few. Thought I would post this just in case anyone does a search!
