Default Thermostat

Hi there. I am brand new to the forum. I have a 1992 Sun Voyager class A.
I can't find any information on the furnace. The thermostat was replaced and now it seems as if there's too much propane being used?? Can someone help? Maybe someone knows where I can locate a manual? Thanks everyone!

The thermostat is only on/off. It does not adjust the amount of propane the furnace is using when it is on.

Hello and welcome!
As mentioned the stat has nothing to do with the amount of propane used.
I have a class a unit also and have two furnace's. And if you run even one for extended stay they use quite a bit of gas. You can insulate area's to help.
Make sure you clean and inspect the furnace intake and exhaust for bugs as they will block the unit and could cause serious issues or death!
Please be safe!!! And good luck!

In general the thermostat will not control propane usage as stated by others. However it is a switch that is closed until the inside temp at the thermostat is at the set number of degrees. Do you have another thermometer to see if the set temp is close the the actual temp. Does the new thermometer make it too warm? was the old thermostat not keeping the room consistently warm. If so you can be using more fuel, just because its now running longer or more frequently to provide the room temp you set it too.
