Default Water heater

On my last trip, the hot water heater was running fine off of the electric connection. After 4 days we had no hot water. Propane was not turned on and, since the trip was ending, I did not turn on propane to see if it worked off of that. Any suggestions where to check? Thank you

Did you drain the plumbing in between? If you apply power to the electric side of the water heater when it is empty, it will burn out the heating element.

Do you have an inside switch for electric for the water heater? Some trailers/rvs do and some don't. Is that inside switch on?

Did you check the breaker for the water heater? Reset it by flipping solidly to off and then back on.

Assuming nobody opened the outside panel door for the water heater and turned the switch off in the lower left-hand corner of the water heater itself. Most of those switches are "upside down", the top is OFF and the bottom is ON. Also open the panel and look for that switch - they have been known to melt.
