Default Water Damage to ceiling

We had a severe water leak that has stained the ceiling. Has any found a way to clean the carpeted ceiling. If so what did you use. Thank you for any help.

I'm guessing your ceiling is of white, I had a leak years ago on a Gulfstream Sun Voyager I used 50% bleach and 50% water took some elbow grease but came out perfect. Cover all areas that the bleach could spill on.

Hello, We also own an 8379 model.... when we bought it last November it had stains due to previous leaks. I mixed a solution of warm water and a splash of dish soap and 409.... From a spray bottle I dampened the ceiling and gently worked the area with a plastic putty knife.... Then I used a wet/dry shop vac to suck the stain away.... It worked perfect!.... And of course, I went on the roof to look for obvious potential leakage points and applied caulking.... Good luck, Rob Smith....👍🏽

One owner wrote a few months ago: <<Looks great....... We had similar stains on our ceiling from years of leakage (previous owner). I mixed up some warm water and a splash of 409 and dish soap in a spray bottle. I then sprayed the solution on the ceiling and used a utensil to gently massage the moistened stain. Then, I used a wet/dry shop vac and sucked the stain right out. Gone!....>>

Default Water stains

Well Thank you for all the advice. My wife used the 50/50 solution of Bleach and water and it worked. She has only lightly sprayed the areas and all just lightened up. We will go back in a few days and respray and possibly scrub lightly to get anymore of the tough stains.

Thank again

I would CAUTION that, in the use of chlorine bleach or peroxide, cover other furnishings w/ plastic w/ spraying;PEROXIDE MAYBE SAFER to breath, (can use as mouthwash safe) and (some say) works slow, but works well, results hours later or next day?
