Question Need some help with turning on my water heater

I have an older unit, maybe 2003: Suburban SW6D Direct Vent Gas Water Heater, Model 61.
Problem is I can not find anything online on how this unit works and the manual is a little vague on the operating instructions, see below.

When I searched my unit, it brings up newer units and nothing looks like mine nor do they operate like mine.

Mine says "do not light the pilot since it's a self lighting unit".

Step "6" says, "turn on electrical power to the appliance".
I'm getting confused on this part and I'm assuming "appliance" is either the water heater unit itself OR a stove or fridge?
But I don't see what turning on the stove or fridge has to do with turning on the water heater if this is what they're referring to?

Second, the water heater, that I can see, does not have any switch that says ON/OFF or one that looks like what is pictured in the manual. The only switches I see near the water heater are for the Porch Light, Steps, Cargo Light and then there's one switch in the bathroom that says, "Holding Tank Heater".

I hope someone has some insight on what I need to do to get this up and running since I'm confused here.

Here are some pictures:

SOLVED…
This was driving me crazy and called the manufacturer, not to much help, Gulf Stream zero help, so I called the PO and luckily he answered and told me to look at the switches on the range hood. Sure enough there it was🤦
I was thinking this whole time it was in the water heater unit since every picture and YT video showed it there or near it somewhere, obviously a newbie here.
Like I said above, the manual was useless and I’ve come to figure manufactures of RV related items are just wanting to sell you something new and pretty much their “help” only goes as far as a new model.

Anyway, so here’s a update and a picture for anyone else that comes across this thread.

Default 2002 sun voyager water heater

I have a 2002 Sun Voyager with a Suburban Water Heater.
AC element reads continuity.
I have no AC power at on/off switch in heater compartment.
Where is the AC circuit breaker.
Is the breaker under the bed? They are all on.
Running on Shore power, But also have Propane which isn't heating.
Solenoids good. Gas feed seems good. Pilot light goes out.
How can I access the AC junction box at the water heater.

If the pilot keeps going out the thermocouple is bad! Or if their is air in the gas line it may take several attempts to remove all the air from the line before the pilot will stay lite..
On the electric side check the breakers and the thermostat and element!!
Make sure the heater is full of water before using the electric side or you will burn up the element in minutes!!
