Default door shock

In our Tourmaster we have a small hyd. cylinder to hold the door from swinging all the way out and hitting the mirror. The problem is when a heavy wind comes the door can get away from you and "snap" its gone. I took a small nylon strap screwed it to the top of the door and the other end on to the inside door frame. I made it tight enough so it stops before it snaps the head of the shock. Here in the land of 40 mph wind daily, it works like a charm.
