Possible bad automatic transfer switch (ATS) on 2007 Vista Cruiser Mini
No Micro, A/C, or wall plugs with onboard Onan generator. Plug in shore cord and it all works. ATS located under refrig with no good access even to test let alone R&R. Can't remove refrig; no many other connections through refrig base. May have to cut a hole and create an access panel opening by slide out. Has anyone had to deal with this before? Any suggestions?
I assume you checked breakers on the generator? Most transfer switches are in the same compartment your power cord coils up in, or in some cases with the power distribution panel. You sure it's under the refer with no access?
ATS repair on Sprinter van chassis 2007 Vista Cruiser Mini motorhome
Thank you for your reply.
Yes breaker at generator was not tripped and I exercised it off and on.
My breaker/ fuse panel (none were tripped) is located below refrig.
Pulling that away from the cabinet and looking underneath refrig revealed the Inverter and ATS with virtually no way to service, check or remove either item.
I looked at pulling refrig but can't because electrical and gas lines threaded through refrig metal base panel. I wish they were located under a bed or outside compartment.... Has anyone else had this problem in a Sprinter van chassis model RV and how did you deal with it?
If you need a transfer switcher, Xantrex is a reasonable size from a trusted company. Simple and clear circuit diagram. You may need to add a male and female connector or connect directly to your system as needed.
