Default 2000 GS Tour Master

Hello all,
New to the forum. Recently purchased a 2000 Class A Tour Master in great condition. Trying to figure out all the tricks and stuff that’s not in the manuals. (For instance the unlock sequence on the slide control haha). Long time sailor now getting into land “yachting”. Happy Christmas!

Welcome Andrew!

There was very little operational information in the manual that GS prints as a generic motor home document. Ask any questions of this forum you may have. I suspect my 2007 Tour Master had detailed differences from your earlier model, but others here may have one more like yours.

So far we are tracing systems one by one and trying to see what needs maintenance / replacing / etc. very similar to a boat. The one puzzle we have is the air dump. Pushing the button on the Bigfoot panel seems to do nothing and we found the air dump valves center frame between the front tires. Had to use a ratchet strap to dump since having our melons under the bus while dumping seems kinda dumb. Any idea if there is a better way to do this? Some folks mentioned lanyards but this Spartan Mountain Master chassis doesn’t seem to have them. Thanks!

Andrew,
I too am a retired sailor with a 2000 GS TM like you.
I have deciphered the slide out, the big foot leveling system I’m only successful half the time.
Feel free to reach out, I think it could be mutually beneficial.

Andrew,
On the BIGFOOT system I went and bought the new version which is light years above the original about 800.00, no need to change out the hydraulic just the electronics ( Key Pad , Computer, and the leveling sensor )

The slide is press the middle button for 5 seconds then the left and then the right button so you can then push in or out. The code is the same on most coaches.
I have had my coach for 6 years and have gone over and updated all the systems. If I can help let me know.

Doug
I’m having sporadic problems with my BIGFOOT. I’m not confident that it’s not operator error.
May I call for some guidance and details on your new electronics.
