Condensation dripping on generator
I recently took my RV in to repair the generator. The generator cranked-up and ran fine, but I had no power.
The problem was reported to me that condensation from the chassis' air conditioner up front, was dripping on the generator.
Somehow it ran down the sides where it entered into the bottom metal box area and corroded the wires & chip board.
A week and half, and about $600.00 later its back working.
There is a water condensation box with a tube that runs water out and down past the generator. I noticed the box has a silicone caulk were it attaches to the firewall. About one inch wide piece of silcone was not attached allowing water to drip on the generator. Who would think that could do so much damage!
I hope this may help prevent the same thing happen to you.
