Default HDMI routing for DVD player 2021 BT5210

I installed a HDMI wall socket in the shelf for the DVD player. I used the hole for the RCA type plug terminal and removed this plate as I would not ever use these. I installed an HDMI wall socket from Amazon so I can hook up my Blu-ray/DVD player. I fished an HDMI cord along the inside back and on the tv end I could have put in another wall socket for the HDMI but instead I just routed the cable from the DVD side socket through a hole beside the existing USB terminal and connected it directly to the tv.
