Drain water from the HW heater tank by pulling anode rod from front/bottom of tank. Turn off the propane at the propane tank. Turn off the 120VAC by either turning off circuit breaker, or disconnecting shore power. Disconnect propane line to HW heater (usually accessible from outside the unit, left side). Disconnect two water connections on back of tank. Remove the screws from the front flange (from outside the unit). If you can remove the door, now's a good time to do it. Pull HW heater out from outside the RV, will be "glued" in by sealant, use a plastic scraper to free it. You will also have to remove some sealant from around the disconnected propane line and push it through the hot water heater flange to free it. When you get the HW heater half way loose, disconnect the wires attaching the unit. 120VAC connection on the back (usually Romex going inside a little black plastic junction box), 12 VDC connections on the side/front. Pay attention to color of wires so you can properly connect new ones. Now you can pull it all the way out, it helps to have a work stand to sit it on as you pull it out.
Any help?
