Default Tankless water heater

I just bought a 2005 Gulfstream Coach and want to upgrade to a tankless water heater without taking up more space and spending less the $500. Any Suggestions?

Although I have a tankless at our S&B, not sure Iíd want one in an RV. If youíre on FHU all the time, might be alright but if not, the wasted water while waiting for hot could deplete your water supply quicker then necessary. I have endless hot water in our mh via the AquaHot, Iíve also never had a problem with the 6 or 10 gal water heater in other rvís weíve owned.

We purchased a 2007 Gulf Stream Yellowstone Country Club motorhome this summer and it has an AirXcel Suburban IW60 on demand tankless gas heater. We just started a major remodel of our home and have just moved in full time. The tankless heater is nice as we don’t run out of hot water, however, like the previous post mentioned it does take a little over a minute to warm up. While this doesn’t seem to be that long, and most the time we don’t mind, where I really notice it is when we go to wash our hands in the middle of the night after using the restroom ... this minute seems to be an eternity to wait and the cold water definitely wakes you up.

Here are two links of the unit we have:
