You would think. But, the box clearly said automatic transfer switch on it. Some inverters also have the converter in it, mine doesn't. Since we are full timers and we don't have a residential type refrigerator I don't really have much use for an inverter. But, the dealer I bought from did put 4 brand new 6V batteries in it. I wonder though, could I run the Norcold refrigertor on the inverter while going down the road? Or, would the heating elements on the Norcold drag down the batteries too fast?
