Default solar port on side

On my 2020 19csk it has a port for a solar panel if I get a solar panel that fits the plug does that mean its plug and go as in do I need to worry about if its going to overcharge my battery or does it control the juice?
Thanks in advance

If it is a ZAMP solar as on our BT Cruiser you need a controller. The port is connected strait to your house battery, with a fuse in de positive lead. I connected a ZAMP OBSIDIAN® SERIES 100 Watt Portable Kit, which include a Controller. Works as a charm.
