Default 2006 Friendship G8 slider help!

We recently bought a 2006 Gulfstream Friendship G8 motorhome. They were put out, but now they won't retract, and the jacks won't retract. Do you have any ideas?

Both are capable of being retracted manually but unfortunately I'm not able to talk you through the process. We have a very similar 2006 G7. This AM our jacks wouldn't retract. Found a blown fuse in the blocks in the left front electric bay. Should be a chart to show the fuse purpose. Think it turned out to be a 10 amp fuse.

Our slide hyd motor and distribution is also on left side just forward of the Aqua Hot. I see a place to manually pump but don't know the process. There is also a breaker in the right rear electic bay. It's 80 amp and labeled hyd pump. Reset if tripped.

Good luck,

For your slide: This issue came up a few weeks ago on this forum. The information in this discussion may relate to your problem. This link may help you identify the slide breaker(s).

On mine, the slides for the kitchen and bedroom vanity are run by electric motors (both on passenger's side of coach). Each are run through the breakers illustrated in the link above. I have had these breakers trip several times.

The living room and bed slides (driver's side) are operated by hydraulics and have never tripped.

Your jacks should be on a fuse panel inside the front driver's side compartment (under the driver's seat and in front of the left front tire).

Good luck and keep us posted. Someone will help you figure it out.

I had the same problem in January while in Florida. It is a long story but I finally got it resolved. I had to hand pump my Jacks up (hydraulic slider were already in) to get on the road. I called Gulf Stream and spoke with Jim (800 289-8787 ext. 3752). He sent me via the internet the instruction guide for the Power Gear Dewald Hydraulic system. This guide has the hand pumping instructions that allowed me to get on the road. At my next stop I checked all of my breakers, and fuses again with no luck. I found a guy in the park doing road service for someone else and asked him to came to see me next and in 10 minutes he found the problem. It was a loose plug on the leveling circuit board which turned the hydraulic pump off completely. The circuit board on my coach is located almost directly over the pump behind a heating duct. Good luck, Steve
