Default How to adjust 08 Tourmaster Mirror?

I need to swing my mirrors forward. However the arms seem to be locked. How do I swing them forward?

There seems to be a "circle piece" below the arm-pivot. Is this a cap that needs to be removed first, if so, how do I remove it, it seems tight.

univmd, you are on the right track, I think. I really have no idea, but I am fairly certain you remove the plastic (chrome?) cap, then inside there is an allen head screw you can loosen. You will need to loosen it several rounds, as it holds the arm in a notched type circle. I seem to remember this from somewhere.

Yes. Remove the cap, turn and tighten.

Welcome to the site and the TM club.

Actually, under the cap is a bolt. You need a socket wrench. Once loose you can swing the arm.

Note, not sure where you are looking to move the arm or even which arm. But if you are looking to move the drivers side out and forward, you will be blocked by the front left windshield frame. Also, if you come out away from your coach to far, you run the risk of your mirror hitting a passing semi mirror. These are the reasons they are moved in closer to the coach.

Take care.

Default Driver side mirror viewed through windshield or side window?

Yes I tried swinging the driver's side mirror arm in front of the windshield (like many RVs with long arms), but the view is no good, only see the coach itself in the reflection.

So I swung the mirror back to the side (like many RVs with short arms). Alas, the mirror cannot be viewed until it is swung way out to the side away from the front pillar. I am afraid the mirror will be swiped off by a passing truck.

It seems that the arms on the 08 Tourmaster are too long to be used through the side windows, but too short to be used through the windshield.

What do you think? Do you have yours out the side window or in front of the windshield?

With warm regards, James

I just adjusted my Crescendo mirrors today. I am looking thru the very far left portion of my windshield for the roadside mirror. I aligned the roadside mirror so that when standing in front of the coach, looking down the side, I have the left edge of the mirror alligned with the side of the coach. This works great on mine.

I am just guessing now, but I think the mirror arms are about 12 - 14 inches long. Good luck.

Swing the mirror arm in to about 6 inches from the coach. You then can take an alen wrench and loosen a set screw that will allow you to move the mirror housing itself. Once adjusted to a good starting point, tighten back down and you than can move the main big mirror with the inside controls. The bottom mirror you set by hand by pushing on the top, bottom and sides.

Default Nuthut

Hi Nuthut, yes placing the driver's side mirror so that it is viewed through the windshield is ideal, but on my setup, the windshield pillar is in the way too much.

It seems like the other Tourmaster owners have to view their driver's side mirror out the side window too...

Hi, underneath the mirror assembly is a large hex screw. Is that the screw that once loosened allows you to pivot the whole mirror assembly? Don't need to adjust the arm but the max travel of the adjustable mirror is getting reached without proper alignment for view. Thanks.
