Mine too, Mine only has two screws both work loose after tightening ... the third hole is too close to the edge of the door. A screw in there would likely interfere with the gasket on the other side. I assume that's why there is only two screws in it.
I was thinking that I should through bolt the door part. I was also wondering why the angle is so severe. Maybe the part that bolts to the coach could be reversed although that would put the ball joint on the bottom ... maybe that would eventually keep falling off? If the socket is captive enough it should be an issue. Might need a shim to position the bracket a bit farther out from the coach side as well as raise it up a bit just to clear the door swing at full open?
I've also just considered removing it altogether. With the door open, it is kind off in the way when you're sitting out under the awning. It might be better folded back and latched to the coach side if you want it open.
Just thinking out loud here. Anyone else have any ideas?
