Default Battery Dead Again

I replaced 1st 12v lead acid battery during 1st year. Now the replacement has a dry cell in less than a year. What could be going on. i've noticed the running lights blink when connected to car but not when on shore line, is that normal?

You need to measure the voltages that your converter is putting to the battery. It sounds like it is getting overcharged.

With a good battery installed, leave the RV plugged into shore power at least overnight. Check the voltage across the battery terminals. You should see 13.2 to 13.4 volts. Anything over 13.4 volts after charging overnight and your converter is either overcharging the battery or it is in equalizing charging mode (only on top end converters). If you see over 13.4 volts, wait one hour (still plugged in) and check again. If it is still over 13.4 volts the converter is overcharging the battery. Equalizing charging modes should only last for 15 minutes.

Running lights have nothing to do with shore power so better question is why are they flashing when connected to your tow vehicle. Are they flashing when the tow vehicle running lights are on? Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Does this happen when you tow with a different vehicle? Is the. Problem associated with the trailer or with your tow vehicle?

One cell low on water when others or not is a bad cell/ shorted cell; if under 12mo, usually no problem on warranty? If over 12mo, (some brands) pro-rate Months 13-36-mo, from what I have read? Good Luck, otherwise $79-$99 for RV Marine at Costco/ WM?

Running lights (Clearance Lights?) blinking while traveling is usually a disconnected GROUND WIRE at the trailer hitch plug, so ground is intermittently coming thru the BALL at the hitch. TOW cannot properly charge the TOAD Battery is not properly grounded either.
