Default Slide out not working

We are recent owners of a 2006 BT Cruiser. When purchased both bed and kitchen/sofa slides worked. Got home and bed slide working well, but kitchen/sofa slide stopped working. Checked switch, relays, fuses...all good. Seems no power to motor and cannot find kill switch under driver seat to check nor how to check wires to motor. Can u please help....

(Assuming hydraulic?) My slides will NOT work if IGN= ON; some have seat switch, some have Parking BRAKE Switch? You can check for voltage at COIL to solenoids? My hydraulic solenoids started sticking engaged, then tripping 12v breaker by battery. My BATTERY BOOST solenoid would clunk but NOT connect, had to replace all three. If solenoid/s on pump NOT receiving power to coil, check ROCKER SWITCH/ WIRING inside?

Thx so much....our slides r on rollers...we checked all fuses, relays (finally found those in the bay next to side door!)...all wires...and switches. Turned out to be a loose switch that worked sometimes, and other times stuck. Grateful to finally have it working...

Hi. Our slide outs also worked intermittent. We found a loose wire under our bathroom sink in a junction box

Your problem may be as simple as the need to add hydraulic fluid to the reservoir (actually it is automatic transmission fluid which I purchase at an O'Reilly Auto Parts Store). My 2005 Gulfstream's hydraulic fluid reservoir that operates the slide-out on my rig was damaged and leaked out fluid a few years ago. Once I replaced the fluid, the slide-out worked just fine.

Cool Slide out motor

Which model BT Cruiser do you own?

I have had to replace all 3 of the slide motor/gearboxs on my 2007 Model 5291B.
There is a fuse in the wiring harness just ahead of the motor.
I wasn't that lucky. The pot metal gear box housing exploded on all three of mine.

My 2007 5291 did the same. All three blew out the pot metal gear cases at about $800 per copy plus installation. What a cheap made, poorly designed piece of crap to use for moving slides.

Default Gearbox

You can rebuild the housing provided you have all the pieces. I rebuilt the one I have and works great . Just cutout upper and lower templets out of aluminum 1/4” plate sandwich the upper and lower against the broken box and fasten with 1/4 rod. Coat the sides with epoxy and let set. Works like a dream.

I feel your pain! I was able find replacements at the RV salvage store and installed two of them myself.
