Default inverter

I have a Xantrex Freedom Combi 2000 watt inverter charger this is the first inverter I ever had and want to install a auto start for the generator. Can I leave the inverter on when the generator starts

Default Re: inverter

That would depend on how its wired, you know, what works for most, may not work for all. When using my Rv I leave the inverter on all the time, so theres no power interuption when switching from shore to generator or just driving, now, my front ac unit was run thru the inverter, so I moved it to the other breaker box so it will only run on shore power or generator. Whats the matter with them! you cant run a ac unit on the inverter. Its advice I was given about the inverter and it works pretty good I can now set the clock on the microwave one time, just my opinon.
