Default Slide guide

I noticed when driving on highway 101 by Ventura, Ca a very rough road that the guide to my big slide was squeaking. I never had heard it before, but this last trip it was annoying. Are those guides suppose to be lubricated? They look like a hard clear plastic material and the one that I can see is on the top end of the slide. Does anybody out there know if they have to be lubed.

Default Slide Lubrication

Ray,

I lubricate the piston rods associated with my slides. I have read where the "gasket" on the sides and top needs lubrication. Unlike most, I always use the safety bars on my slides.
