Leveling system

We bought a 1999 gulfstream friendship. It's needing some working. We are having issues with the levelers not working. My Husband said he could hotwire them to get them to work, but would rather fix them right. Could not find any info in the manual. Help Please.

They are most likely Lippert, try going to "lci1.com" to get a service manual.

Safety Switches/ Procedures must be right to prevent damage= WHY they have them. Parking Brake=ON, ENGINE= OFF to prevent leveler damage from drive off. Starting engine with Brake off= AUTO RETRACT on many. Good Luck.

Your are probably Dewald jacks and Lippert no longer supports them (I just called them last week for mine (2001 Yellowstone Bus). I have the original manual if you can PM me I will scan it and send it over

Friendships are typically diesel pushers, and require ignition/engine to be ON.

I have a 2003 Friendship. Yo must have key off and to activate leveling system. Look on your leveling control and if it says Equalizer you can contact them for any issues

I work on a lot of different units. Most diesel pushers require key on.

I have an 02 Friendship and I have a BigFoot system. Does your system light up at all or just not activate hydraulic levelers ? Like all the rest…parking break on, engine off, seat in the most forward position, I don’t have to have the key on. Sometimes when the hydraulics don’t work it’s always the big breaker located passenger rear, trans computer compartment. A 21/2” sq box with a little lever that kicks out from the side, just push it back in to reset. Good luck !!
