Smile 05 crescendo taillights

I been looking to update my taillights to led units but haven't had any luck finding any replacement units. Has anyone updated theirs, I know I can change the bulbs to led but I was hoping to find a unit with several led's.

Sometimes if you pull the tail light and look up the part number you find out what vehicle make/model/year they sourced them from and then you are closer to finding replacements/upgrades.

Thanks, I did that, it's a 74-79 ford pu. Not much out there other then changing the bulbs to led, I did find one that mite be a direct replacement. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

TIP: Look at the LENS of the existing for a name embossed into the plastic for name of the manufacturer; e.g. on my 2000, it is COMMAND by commandelectronics.com... much better chance of matching exact size/ shape of your old incandescent?

Alternate thought: talk w/ a LED bulb store, (I have a store near me, but never been in, need to do that one day); maybe buy strips of LED and attach to existing backing plate/ reflector? I suspect they can help you find a solution?

Another option is to contact a semi trailer parts repair shop. This is where we got ours from, which we swapped out all of our lights on our class A unit. We have also swapped out all our lights on some other utility trailers with LED’s which we also got from them. Hope this helps.

I found a company on the e-net that had direct replacements, they are made in Mexico, and sold thru a company in Calf. they take the light assy. and put a led board in it and it plugs into the bulb socket. They look and preform great and add the eye catching to rear of the coach. The pair was about 75.00$ with shipping, I'm very pleased with them, I'm now looking at adding a led bar from superbrightleds on the back between the upper and lower luvers, its 60in long and has turn, brake, running, and back-up lights in it. When I get it mounted I'll post some pics. Thanks
