Default 2001 Gulfstream Independence freshwater drain

Hi All, I am looking at draining and sanitizing my freshwater tank but cannot locate a drain. Do I have to just turn on outside shower to drain the tank? And is there a problem with running the water pump that long. Tank holds 90 gallons of fresh water. Thanks for any help, Kevin

Do you have a picture of your water bay?

I just completely redid my water bay.

Most tanks have low point drain. Look under coach at the tank location and also in your water service bay, there very well may be a valve. If you can't locate that, the water inlet hose to your fresh water pump is next lowest drain point. Opening that and flushing water will work, no sense running pump, gravity works well. A small amount of (cheap, one ingredient) bleach can be used into the tank. That will kill the nasties. (albeit controversial, bleach = chlorine, same as in drinking water now). There are water treatment products out there you can use at the end, they "freshen" the water . . .

Suspect Most low point drains (Tank/Hot/Cold) are clustered together? Often 2-6" of pipe hanging down and you can see from underneath. My valves are black t-handle that you pull up, others have white plastic that you turn 90-degrees? LUCK

Mine were black little T's that you turned 90 to open. just look under your water compartment and look for some little pipes coming out. Usually PVC water lines 1/2"
then look above in the compartment for them and the valves. start opening them till water comes out then try another one.
