Default gas appliances operation at elevation

Have any of you guys taken your SuperNova's up to high elevations in Colorado, like at 10K feet? Did you have to make adjustments to gas furnaces and water heaters? The manuals are pretty much useless on any procedures to do this....it just says it should be derated 3% for every 1000 ft. of elevation, but nothing on how to do this.....it just says to take it to a dealer....we're going to be traveling at everything from sea level to 10K ft and I'm looking for any collective wisdom.

I live in Colorado at 7500 feet and routinely camp at about 9,000 feet. Derating a gas appliance means putting in a different nozzle injector and to me, only makes sense if you are always at a high altitude. We have not had any problems camping. You will probably have some reduction in efficiency, but everything will still work.

I just got back from the trip and all the gas appliances worked great with no modifications....even at 9200 feet in Breckenridge for four days. Thanks for your feedback.
