Default Check your engine

A word to all Gas powered class A motorhome owners. Before my last big trip, I decided to replace my serpentine belt on my 48K mileage 2004 Gulfstream Independence. It's on a F53 ford chassis with a V-10.
What I found was that all the insulation inside the engine compartment had gone bad and come loose. Some of it was laying on top of the engine causing me great concern as a possible fire source. I pulled it all off and replaced it with a insulation that was a self stick called MegaShield. It wasn't easy, but the outcome was great. I get much less heat and noise from the engine area, and gave me confidence that this area is secure and not going to ruin my future trips.
I would suggest that everyone check for this issue on older motohomes.!
(sorry that some photos are upside down! couldn't fix that.)

Default doghouse insulation

Mine still looked good on the inside so I insulated the outside to make it quieter.

Can you share a little more about MegaShield? Apparently it comes in many flavors.

Thickness?

Your source for purchase?

Anything else?
