Default Hellow from Hope (100 mi E of Vancouver), BC

2004 BT Cruiser. Our first MH, yup, the very first and one issue after another. We were warned by the old owner that the generator (Onan) needed a new starter. "Simple, install only 2 bolts" !!!!Done, but what a job getting at the damn thing. Next, propane tank needs replacing, at least I think so. The existing tank is rusted so badly it's almost UN-recognizable. Replacement tank is $800 plus. There must be a better (less expensive) way. I'll post this question in the "forum" section.

Its very unlikely you need a new propane tank; they are meant to last the life of the vehicle, and then some. Surface rust doesn't mean a thing, take it to a body shop and have them sandblast and repaint it, if you feel the need.

But honestly; not an issue.
