Default Considering GS ultra need advice

My wife and I have been shopping for a mh and after driving many have landed on a super c. I would be very grateful for any guidance this community may be kind enough to share on the model we are looking at. It's a 2006 Gulfstream Ultra Super C on the Kodiak chassis wih an 8.1.

Default Re: Considering GS ultra need advice

We don't have an Ultra but an 05 Endura. We've lived fulltime in ours for the last 3 years. Our 8.1 has 57k miles and runs fine. I'm sure the Duramax would be more powerful in the mountains but the 8.1 does alright. We've owned it since 2/07. While fulltiming we tow a Jeep Wrangler and generally get around 7 mpg. Don't see many Super C's on the roads or campgrounds. Obviously we like it and I'm not a Chevy guy.
