Ray and RayChez,

The 2007 Tour Master that I owned had a separate battery stack just for the inverter and it did run the Xantrex 458 Freedom inverter adequately for the residential 32 cu ft refrigerator. I believe that some earlier coaches had the inverter running off the 'house' batteries and that would indeed be marginal.

During my owning this coach, I did happen to upgrade to a Magnum pure sine wave inverter -- but that was to accommodate the improved electronics of the 4K television sets (it was not a factor for the simple refrigerator motor and controller...) The refrigerator did run the same with either inverter and I saw no differences in battery run time during the occasional 'dry camping' days...

My separate stack of four big 6 V golf cart batteries were charged by the shore power or by anytime the generator ran....so if you ran the generator while driving to use the house air units, you would also keep the residential refrigerator running without depleting the inverter batteries.

YMMV...
