Default Help draining the fresh water

My wife and I just bought our first RV, 2005 B Touring 5290. Needless to say it wasn't taken care of very well, lots of repairs.. Anyway, I'm trying to flush out the anti-freeze water from the system. I believe I've found the tank drain valve under the bed next to the pump but when I open it there's only a trickle of water coming out the bottom of the RV. I've also been running the bathroom sink and shower but I think they are filling the black water tank. Anyone know these systems??

I have a 2006 BTouring Cruiser 5290 and you are correct on your findings. The bathroom sink drains into the black water tank (not sure about the shower, but that may be true as well).

I drain my fresh water tank by pulling out a black rubber "T" handled plug in the area you described. Once removed, the water runs through a tube and exits the RV directly under the bed. I found that my fresh water tank vent was plugged by "Mud daubers" and that slowed both filling and draining the tank. I carefully threaded a wire through it while flushing with water to clean it out. Perhaps you have a similar issue in the drain area. Hope this info helps! Good Luck!

If you have the black T-handle valves, pull the stainless steel WIRE CLIP and remove the PLUNGER, and run a DRINKING STRAW BRUSH THRU THE OUTLET, then reassemble; it is very common for mud daubers to build in that small outlet? Good Luck.
