Fasteners for Securing Shower Surround to Trailer Wall

I am trying to identify the type of fasteners Gulf Stream used to secure the shower surround to the trailer walls. They are covered with a translucent disk so I cannot see the actual fastener underneath. My shower surround is warping and separating from the trailer wall. Does anyone know the type of fastener used for the shower wall?

Sometimes plastic screws caps just snap onto screw head? My house shutters use similar.
Have you tried to remove?

I pried on the "cap" a bit, but it didn't seem to budge. I didn't want to break it if it wasn't supposed to come off. Does the fastener you described look similar to this (see attached picture)?
