Default Water holding tank

I just drained and sanitized my water system. So now what? Can I leave the tank empty or should I fill it with freash water? I will be boondocking for the solar eclipse and filling it then, but will it be okay empty until then?

Thanks

I have typically sanitized my tank before storing it dry for winter in my barn, and then, depending on the conditions of our travel I sanitize again in the spring prior to switching the hot water tank valve on. (Away from bypass).
Since you just sanitized, I suspect you are in a place warm enough to not freeze prior to the Solar Eclipse, it would seem that you could fill it now or wait with little or no difference.
