Default Deadbolt Lock Handle

On the interior of the entry door there are two locks. The lower lock is a vertical slide which locks/unlocks the door handle. Above the handle is a red (plastic) lever that rotates right and left to lock/unlock the deadbolt.

This red lever broke off the metal stud. A simple solution, you would think. Just call and order a new lever.
-I went to a GS dealer in Florida who told me I have to purchase the entire lock mechanisim.
-I called Gulfstream and they told me to contact my dealer for parts info.
-I went to a custom aftermarket RV repair and upgrade shop and they said I have to contact either GS, a GS dealer or the lock manufacturer.
-The lock manufacturer only talks to dealers or coach manufacturers so they told me to contact GS or my local GS dealer.

See a pattern developing here?

Any ideas where I can get this $2.00 part?

Take a look at the part at the following link on eBay. The sellers ebay name is "Trimarkcorp". I found it by doing a search for "Trimark".
Hope it is what you need.

My trimark deadbolt (little red) knob broke some time back. Didn't try to replace it because of the horror stories I heard. Well, time has passed & I decided to have a go at it. Went to the Ebay URL given & saw that the little lever is in the neighborhood of $14, far better than replacing the entire lock as reported by some dealers. But the need to define if I have a short handle or long handle required more research.... Where better to start than a google search for Trimark?

You need to know that Trimark is one-heck-of-a-good company. Our Sun Voyager uses their lock assembly with deadbolt, part number 030-1050. Complete CAD drawings are available on their site. Their Trimark Service & Replacement-parts division (http://www.trimarkcorp.com/en/Servic...placement.aspx) is reached at 1-800-447-0343. Ask for a tech specialist if you have questions about part, about old knob/lever removal, & new knob/lever replacement. My #81481 knob is on the way for under $2.00! I did NOT have to be a dealer. They are fast, efficient, courteous, & knowledgeable. They appreciate their customers.

Good Info!!

I have copied/pasted it into my motorhome reference files.
Thanks, Ron

For any further concern about the features of deadbolt locks, you can ask a help from a locksmith service.
