Default AC

I have a 2003 conquest motorhome with a duo therm AC. When i turn on the ac it hums and sounds like a motor is locked up.
Any ideas of what it could be would be appreciated

My first load in the parts cannon would be the compressor start capacitor. These give the compressor an extra boost to get started. If they are bad the motor usually just groans until the breaker kicks.

Default Ac

Thanks, I am going g to order one for my ac but I can't find one for my duo therm model # 620426.321 . When I find one I will order it and see if that works.
Thanks

1) Fan Motor Bearings seized; 2) mud-dauber nest on fan locking motor; 3) Bad START CAPACITOR. Start with VISUAL on roof, remove cover? See if fan spins freely? If you buy capacitor, buy two, carry spare; often only last 2-3 yrs? Good Luck

Turn the fan blade by hand to make sure it is free. If not used often the fan will seize and needs a kick start.
