Default lighting furnace pilot light

Looked behind the metal grate in the livingroom of my 2004
Crescendo 8386 but no pilot light there. Where is the pilot light
actually located? Appreciate any help for a first time Gulfstream
motorhome owner.

Most of the furnace should be accessible from the outside if you remove the cover where the vents are located. There's one located in either side. Livingroom furnace is located on the drivers side and the galley furnace is located on the passenger side. I attached a couple of pictures showing the locations on my coach. They could be different on the 2004, but the vents should look the same. You will need sealing putty to put the covers back on after you remove them. The igniter is hard to get at though. From what I remember it is buried somewhere near the middle and may require pulling the entire unit out or removing a large portion to repair it. Lots of youtube videos about the Dometic Atwood furnaces that may be helpful.

I have a 06 sun voyager and both of my furnaces are located on the driver side and accessible from the outside. There is louvered panel with two thumb latches on each. I’m positive they have a spark igniter on each. If you haven’t driven it or it’s been sitting for awhile it may have dirty Dobber nest built in the burner area. This will be located. In the bottom of the flue pipe. If it is a dobber nest it can short out the electrode and it will not spark.

I have a 06 sun voyager and my two furnace are on the driver side. Both accessible from the outside. I’m sure yours are spark ignitions. You may have dirt dobber nest built up around the spark electrode which will prevent it from sparking. You furnaces should be behind a louvered panel easily accessible. The spark rods will be in the bottom of the exhaust pipe. A couple of screws loosened and you can see the spark rods.
