Default Old headlights

I've seen where people have cleaned the car headlights and made them look like new again but I've never had much luck with that stuff and Super Nova headlights were looking very bad and couldn't see very well at night so I broke down and ordered headlights off Amazon for $180, included everything, bulbs and new wiring harness. Took about an hour to change them out, the second one went a lot quicker than the first but they look great. Also got LED replacement bulbs to put in so hopefully the night time driving won't be near as bad now.

How do you disable the daytime running lights? Would love to do that.

Mine being a Freightliner chassis, had to cut and ground a wire but it was on a Freightliner module

Default Cleaning plastic lens headlights

The plastic lens headlights that get foggy over time can be cleaned quickly and with just minimal cost. Start with 1000-1200 wet sand paper (you will see the yellowish crud come off). Keep the sandpaper wet. When the light is cleaned then use 1500-2000 wet sandpaper to finish cleaning and getting the lens smooth. Once done dry tape off the area, use a Rust-o-leum clear lacquer made for plastic and spray 2-3 light coats on the lens. Let it dry as it clears as it drys. You will never have to do this again! I have done several headlights this way with super results.
