Default For all 8379 owners

I have a problem which I need help with. I have a 2004 Sun Voyager 8379 with the Sun Room. It is a triple slide, 36 ft. on the workhorse.
On my unit the main awning also covers the slide out on the bedroom. On top of the bedroom slide out is two little wheels that is supposed to protect the awning. The problem is this, when you have the awning out the wheels hit the awning so hard that it is going to make holes in the awning. I cannot get it high enough to clear these wheels. Does anyone else have this problem and what have you did to eliminate this problem. I don't want to push two holes in the awning, so I am afraid to use it.

Aobut the only thing I could see working would be to pull the bedroom slide in during the day when you want to use the awning. At night you will have to retract the awning before putting room out. We installed a second awning ahead of this rear patio awning on a Friendship that would work over the front slide with out too much of an issue. It would be nice it the engineers would use this stuff after they have designed and built it!

Default My fix for the problem

After much searching and fussing about the awning I have did the following. I took a piece of 3/4 inch PVC pipe and put rubber crutch tips on the ends. When I deploy the awning I get the ladder out and place the PVC between the roof of the bed room alide out and the edge of the medal wrap on the awning. this forces the awning up and away from the wheels. So far it has worked for me, I don't like getting out the ladder each time but it is better than damaging the awning.
