Default 2007 Sun voyager 39' adjustable king bed

Does anyone have information on that bed frame and it's measurements are for the OEM unit? Previous owners replaced the adjustable frame and the mattress and when slide is retracted in, mattress hits the corner of washing machine cabinet and frame doesn't appear short enough to not hit the make-up work bench.or cabinet.

Thanks,

Mike & Kathleen

Don't know about your coach specifics...but my 2007 Tour Master bed had to have the head elevated to clear things when both opposing slides were retracted. Even then the foot of the bed was so close to the vanity that you could not walk between them.

Gulf Stream used 60 x 80 queen bed and 78 x 80 king bed mattress sizes -- so they are not the short "RV" style beds (at least in the Tour Master...)

Does the head of the replacement bed the prior owners modified/installed still elevate?

Do you have pictures?

Chuck

Yes, both the head and foot retract into the upright position. The mattress is a serta high end thick memory foam type, about 12 inches thick. If the bed is pushed against the outside wall, the head doesn't freely raise unless it's pulled away from slide wall. Maybe the mattress is just too thick?
Not a clue how the original frame was configured but the current one is seriously heavy and built to withstand 10 people on it.

Yes, that mattress is way too thick to fold properly. Maybe the bed frame is the original one from the factory -- what makes you think the frame was replaced??
I found an image of a factory king bed in your model and year coach...note that the bedspread creasing indicates that it folds at the foot and the head as well. It clearly cannot retract the slide if it stays flat. Make sense??
How long is your present mattress? The one from the factory was 80 inches long.

I was told by the previous owner, who I've known 30 plus years and her son in law. Who removed the original frame and mattress that both were replaced. I believe your likely spot on that the mattress is to thick to.fold up properly. Guess I'll be shopping around for something else but dang if it's not a fantastic bed, my back/neck love it and I'm a 100% disabled vet. The old frame was cut up and disposed.of and the new one had to be assembled in place....uggg.
