Default Installation Sunblocker 2020 23RSS

I am getting ready to install a Carefree EZ Zip Sunblocker on our 2020 23RSS Vintage Cruiser with the electric awning. I believe the awning is also a Carefree. I am unable to find a slot on the end cap that allows access to the open trough on the roller.

My understanding is that end cap actually holds the roller in place, so I am hesitant to remove it. Is that correct?

Has anyone installed the Sunblocker? If so, how did you thread the top section to the roller?

Anyone who has a suggestion, please jump in.

You remove the cap to manually extract the awning so it should be ok to remove it to put on the block. My only concern is do you remove it each time or does it roll up with the awning?

The section that attaches to the roller is about 18 inches long and is suppose to roll up with the awning. This may or may not work with awnings that have the built in covers. The longer section zips to the attached section and is removed before retracting the awning.

Turns out to be very simple. There is a a large enough opening at the top of the end cap to give full access to the trough on the roller. It was apparent once I was up on the a ladder. It took longer to unpack the shade than to install it. Nice setup and the zipper is super easy.
