This is from my 2004 E350. I believe I first identified the heater switch from chassis owner manual.

That is the VELVAC MIRROR CONTROL, shipped with Ford Cutaway chassis for RV and other use. if you do not have heated mirrors, suspect it was shipped with them.

Default mirror switch

I have the velvac mirror switch on the a pillar. the switch I am talking about is a on/ off rocker switch above the mirror control switch. So far I have not found anything that doesn't work when the switch is turned off.

I repeat, the rocker is mirror heat. Mirror heat may not come on above a certain outside air temperature(??), but (one owner) said his was not IGN controlled, and accidently left on, and killed battery several times before determining. (MOST)= IGN control thru relay (IGN= OFF= Mirror Heat= OFF). Your mileage may vary.

Agreed. I think there are either heated mirrors or the vehicle came with a switch in anticipation.
