Default Equipping the Jensen Radio to receive Sirius Satellite

The Tour Masters come with the Jensen Radio with Sirius capability. I had a Sirius Receiver that was given to me, it did the job but I never was happy finding a place to put it. I found a supplier of the Sirius DLP2500 that connects to the Jensen at about 1/2 the price of any of the other suppliers. ($49.99) It was very easy to install and now I can easily see what station I am listening to on the LCD screen on the Jensen Radio. Much neater in appearance then what I had before.

I purchased the Sirius antenna from Radio Shack and permanently installed it on the roof near the CB antenna, with sealant. Drilled a hole in the roof near the CB antenna and ran the cable down into the forward cabinet above the driver, then forward to the raceway that other wires and the CB cable follow to behind the dash. The antenna cable plugs into one end of the DPL2500 and a cable supplied with the unit plugs into the rear of the Jensen Radio. Just follow the instructions to get connected with the Sirius broadcast and you are in business.

Art, do you have to subscribe to Sirius in order to receive broadcasts? Charlie

Yes Charlie, you have to subscribe to Sirius. We at one time thought that it was not worth it, and about 2 years or so ago my son gave me a receiver and the subscription as a birthday gift. Once we had it and got to enjoy it we can't be without. So nice to be able to listen to the radio while on the road and not have to keep looking for a station.

Hi Art
How did you get behind the radio to plug in? Remove the face plate? or the dash and what to look for

Ty, you need to remove the six screws holding the face plate on and slowly pull the entire unit away from the dash just enough so that you can get behind the radio. There is enough wire to allow this without pulling anything apart. The screws are different and need a T20 type tip with a hollow point. I bought a driver with about 20 or so different tips for just about any kind of screw head you may come across from Sears. The tips are held in a rubber type holder and is on the shank of the driver. Very handy tool. Just take your time and it is very easy to do.
