Default 2004 6340 man door issues

More issues,
The man door step only works with the ignition key. The switch panel with door step switch on it/in it located just inside the door on the left side of the entrance, is not working. I can’t find the/a fuze that supplies power to it.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Default thought.......

Not sure, but I have had issues on occassion. I assume the switch is a toggle switch..that is what we have on our Scenic Cruiser. You might try working the switch, slowly, on and off etc... You can also start the unit, and work it more. Try this..MIGHT work, they get cruddy internally.

not sure if this is it..but worth a try

Ray,
Thanks for your reply!
After chasing all the wires down!
I replaced the (Kwikee brand) step control module,
located under the step. That was the cure…
It’s fixed.
Now on to the next issues that pop up as an owner!!

I replaced the module on mine and it still didn't work. Ended up being the wiring, I'd check that first I've heard those modules don't usually go bad.

Yea I’ll dig around first, not a real big priority cause it still goes in and out with the key on. If it was stuck out
I’d be on that bad boy !

My Module was bad., I did all the digging around and that went nowhere.
Once replaced, all was good again!!!

It’s under the step. Raise your coach off the ground (be safe) I used heavy duty jack stands. Once your coach is off the ground and your steps are out, Dis-connect both the engine and house batteries. I had the new one in hand.
Tools needed were a 1/4 inch socket and a 3/8th scocket.
Really it’s plug and play..
I did have to use a large jaw plyers to put the water safe plug back together.
DONT HAVE ANY BODY PARTS IN THE WAY, when you re-connect the batteries.
Make sure to clean grounding connections well.
Again this is located under the step. Easy to get to if you can get your step out..
